The Vans VANSCII Sk8-Hi Is a Jazz Stripe Overload
Inspired by one of the original computer languages.

Picking up the deconstructed footwear series it started last year, Vans recently put together a branding-focused reworked take on the Sk8-Hi.
Dubbed the VANSCII Sk8-Hi, the shoe is inspired by ASCII programming language, and has motifs related to early computer culture. The upper features a black nubuck base that’s accented by a grey grid pattern and white contrast stitching. Decoration comes in the form of stacked Vans Jazz Stripes, choice computer hourglass embroidery and a bright neon “VANS OFFF THE WALL” tongue patch. Rounding up the design of the shoe is a classic white midsole accented by tacked on stripes of gum rubber for a haphazardly reinforced look.
Priced at $75 USD, Vans’ VANSCII Sk8-Hi is available now at vans.com.
In case you missed it, Purlicue and Vans dropped another Chinese New Year-themed Old Skool.
