Emerging menswear imprint PHIPPS has returned with a unique range for its Fall/Winter 2019 collection titled “A Method for Reaching Extreme Altitudes,” examining a contemporary men’s uniform through the lens of physics.
The collection’s inspiration is drawn from the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey, where the brand delved into scientific exploration and consulted with the institute for its new collection. The “Big Bang,” “Gravity Wave,” and “String Theory” graphic prints showcased throughout the newly debuted range reflect some of the Institution’s ground-breaking research.
Notable pieces include a econyl® regenerated nylon puffer vest and padded jean in brimstone, a haori-esque bathrobe toting the “Gravity Wave” print, a patrol bomber in a checkerboard print, an inertia knit half-zip sweater in grey, and a “Big Bang” print shirt with a checkerboard print collar.
