McLaren Releases Its Fifth Longtail, the 600LT Spider
Featuring 592 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque.
Adding to its lineup of supercars, McLaren recently released its fifth Longtail, the 600LT Spider.
Building on the track-focused 600LT coupe, the convertible Spider boasts a top-down max speed of 196 mph, 201 mph when the top is up. Despite featuring a three-piece hardtop that can be retracted at speeds of 25 mph, the 600LT Spider remains a modest a 2,859 lb weight thanks to a reinforcement free carbon fiber MonoCell II chassis.
The new model can go from 0-to-60 in just 2.8 seconds thanks to the 592 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque generated by its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Speed enthusiasts will also be interested in the Inertia Push boost acceleration and Ignition Cut feature in Sport mode, which allows faster shifting that delivers distinct audible cracks from the top-exit exhausts. A set of bespoke Pirelli P Zero™ Trofeo R tires accentuate the track elements of the 600LT Spider.
Starting at $256,500 USD, McLaren’s 600LT Spider is now available for order at mclaren.com and dealership locations.
