Emotional Oranges Sets the Mood in "Hold You Back" Video

Mysterious R&B duo Emotional Oranges drops the lyric video for “Hold You Back.” The video stars Nora Biltz & Nezzy West and is directed by Bawwse for AP&STUDIO. The groovy R&B single follows up previous singles “Personal” and “Motion,” which dropped last year.
“Hold You Back” follows suit of the relaxed sound they established in the previous records but with instrumentations that were inspired by timeless songs from iconic talents.
“We wanted to make something more relaxed that still maintained the groove we’ve established with our first 2 songs,” they said. “We were inspired by the guitars on Sade’s ‘No Ordinary Love’ all the way over to the drumbeat on Drake’s ‘Just Hold On, We’re Going Home.’”
On the video, “The muse character was seducing her man in ‘Motion’ looking for something temporary, ended up taking it ‘Personal’ and falling for him,” they add. “After things didn’t work out, she grew tired of dealing with the same drama and left him for a girl in ‘Hold You Back’ which concludes the series.”
