Namacheko References Vincent van Gogh and Edvard Munch for FW19
Art, architecture and engineering are prime inspirations for the collection.
Namacheko was named one of HYPEBEAST’s emerging designers in 2018. Now well into the brand’s second year, the Swedish label helmed by brother and sister duo Dilan and Lezan Lurr have taken to this season’s Paris Fashion Week to showcase their upcoming Fall/Winter 2019 range. The collection is informed by art as the designers referenced artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Edvard Munch and Glen Brown. The philosophies of architecture and design are also present as iconic creatives like Dieter Rams, Frank Lloyd Wright and Achille Castiglioni were also points of inspiration.
As for the clothing, we see Namacheko reinterpret the technical side of suits — there’s more volume around the shoulders and sleeves for some of the more tailored pieces. Outerwear was a standout as there were both slim and voluminous cuts. However, knits were the main draw for this season as artful colors and creative textures delivered stunning results.
