Children of the Discordance & RECOUTURE Debut Boot-Like Converse for SS19

Children of the Discordance has made waves outside of its native Japan with its elevated punk stylings, and Spring/Summer 2019 may yield its most eclectic offerings to date. This season, the brand is partnering with footwear experts RECOUTURE for a brief capsule of elevated sneakers, including monochrome Nike Cortez and Converse Chuck Taylors bolstered by handstitched Vibram soles and leather accents.
Talented cobblers upgrading classic sneakers is something of a growing trend throughout Japan and Greater Asia, and this collaboration may be the most accessible way to buy into it. Each collaborative Converse features a conventional canvas upper, complete with sturdy metal eyelets and CotD-branded laces. Leather wraps around the lower portion of each shoe, aiding the transition from lightweight trainer to welted shoe, finished off with a treaded Vibram outsole.
