Converse Japan Revives Classic Silhouettes for "Big C" Pack
Vintage models given a seasonal upgrade with water resistant canvas.
Converse Japan continues t0 revive classics with its forthcoming “Big C” pack, revamping a trio of vintage ’50s-inspired sneakers with contemporary textiles. The Chuck Taylor All-Star-like “Big C Army Shoes Mid” is accompanied by the “Big C TS OX” sneakers and “Big C Slip-On,” based on an old fishing shoe. Along with oversized side patches — hence the “Big C” moniker — each shoe sports water resistant canvas uppers and throwback detailing, ranging from extended rubbed toe caps, to vamp tags printed with vintage Converse logos.
The “Big C” pack hits Converse Japan’s website in early 2019.
Most recently, Nike gave the Chuck Taylor All-Star a Chinese New Year-themed makeover.
