Off-White™ SS19 Blends Ball Gowns With Nike Running Gear

“Track & Field” lived up to its name.

Off-White™‘s Spring/Summer 2019 womenswear took a step back from the men’s street-heavy offerings., blending sporty nods with refined feminine silhouettes in a collection dubbed “Track & Field.” Flowing gowns and trim blazers were subverted by track-ready body suits and Nike T-shirts, emphasizing sportswear’s continuing influence upon Virgil Abloh‘s designs.

Alongside screaming yellow snakeskin and oversize Off-White™ branding, Nike’s signature Swoosh emerged as the collection’s key pattern; The thick checkmark was inverted, angled and cloned, stamped all over trim running tops and skin-tight leggings. “Track & Field” fulfilled its theme with plenty of clothing ideal for athletes, fittingly modeled by several members of Nike’s elite women’s athletic squad. Sports bras, running shorts and thigh pouches made the perfect complement for the new collaborative Nike sneakers, one of which was granted a closer look yesterday.

Elsewhere, Off-White™’s tall CST-100 Sneaker and a host of strappy, ballerina-inspired heels surfaced in various colorways. Off-White™’s trademark hangtag complemented the selection of shiny accessories, which included metallic waist bags, cobra belt earrings and chainlink necklaces. Other brand staples returned in new makeups, including washed denim and leather biker jackets; the latter was executed in everything from white cotton to the aforementioned snakeskin. Accompanying the sportswear-leaning looks were a host of gargantuan gowns and feminine tulle skirts, appropriately crafted with mesh panels or juxtaposed with tucked-in Off-White & Nike tees, subverting the feminine lean.

Check out the looks above and watch the full runway presentation on Off-White™’s website.

Meanwhile, we recently took a first look at Off-White™’s new Converse design.
