Off-White™ SS19 References 'The Simpsons' & Artist Dondi White
Plenty of denim and graphics.

Virgil Abloh‘s Off-White™ debuted its eagerly-anticipated Spring/Summer 2019 collection at Paris Fashion Week, and devotees will not be disappointed. First seen in our exclusive look backstage, the new collection offered goods both playful and earnest, with references to artist Dondi White and The Simpsons.
Though the initial reveal didn’t make it clear how White’s work would figure into the world of Off-White™, what materialized was a literal translation of White’s scrawled tags, with swirling white paint and splatters affecting a range of jeans and denim parkas. Off-White™’s signature revised workwear appeared in various iterations, with cargo pants and shorts, raw-hemmed work shirts, and wide-pocketed vests all playing on the motif. In fact, denim was key, with a host of washed indigo jeans, shirts and outerwear all appearing in different variations throughout the collection. Aside from the new collaborative Nike and Dr. Martens silhouettes, perhaps the most immediately engaging items were the Simpsons-emblazoned items, which included a knit and oversized tees — nearly all centered around Bart, though Homer and the family home also made appearances.
