Jared Leto Stars in Fear of God's Sixth Collection Alongside Nike Collab
The Californian brand’s latest lookbook.
Jerry Lorenzo‘s Fear of God returns for the Fall/Winter 2018 season with its Sixth Collection. Lorenzo styles none other than Jared Leto in the accompanying lookbook and film, with the 30 Seconds to Mars vocalist showing off a variety of slouchy layering pieces and slouchy trousers.
The California brand’s signature oversized styling informs the collection’s insouciant motif, with massive bomber jackets, hooded vests, overshirts and coats appearing throughout. Stacked, tapered trousers and loose tearaway pants aid in balancing the weighty outerwear, with boxy tees and hefty hoodies underlining effortless styling. Along with staple items like the cropped-sleeve coats, gargantuan plaid shirts and distressed denim, new touches include small Fear of God tags at the waistband of pants and mesh gloves. Fear of God’s signature crepe sole footwear returns in a variety of silhouettes and styles, from tall leather boots to suede chukkas to low tops inspired by skate sneakers.
A look at the collection’s accompanying film grants a first look at the Nike collaboration, which takes the form of a tall, basketball-inspired silhouette. Thick laces are fastened with a pull tab and a thick white midsole, accented by blue detailing at the heel. A plastic cage appears around the upper, executed in tonal beige, with a black Swoosh seen towards the forefoot.
