Instagram Stories Is Now Twice as Big as Snapchat
In less than two years.
Following its announcement of having 1 billion monthly active users, Instagram has now announced its popular Stories feature has twice as many active users than Snapchat, who originated the feature. According to the photo-sharing app company, Instagram Stories now boasts 400 million daily users since first hitting the market less than two years ago.
Snapchat only has 191 million according to its first-quarter earnings in comparison — and that’s on all of Snapchat since it began in 2011. Stories continue to push new features, such as its new music and “ask questions” components, which will further establish its popularity as an app people use for an hour a day.
In related news, Instagram would be worth an estimated $100 billion USD if it were its own company.
