2K Sports has officially announced Giannis Antetokounmpo as its cover star for the standard edition of NBA 2K19. This announcement follows June’s news of the now-Los Angeles Laker LeBron James being featured on its 20th anniversary edition cover.

This past season, Giannis led the Milwaukee Bucks to a 44-38 record, their best since the 2009-10 season, with 26.9 points and 10 rebounds per game. The upcoming 2018-19 season marks his fifth in the league, and with James now in the West, he hopes to climb further up the playoff ladder.

Take a look at the video announcement above and let us know your thoughts on 2K Sports selecting ”The Greek Freak” for the cover. NBA 2K19‘s standard edition will arrive on September 11 with pre-order already available now.

NBA fans can also read up on Javale and Lance joining ‘Bron in LA.
