Y-3's Kaiwa Model Gets Official Look & Release Date

Following a series of on-foot looks, Y-3‘s eagerly anticipated Kaiwa runner, the chunky sneaker has finally received an official release date. Launching in the black & white colorway examined in detail back in May, the shoe sports grain leather on the upper, with accents of suede granting a hint of texture. Foam protrusions on the midsole add visual weight to the surprisingly lightweight model, with a snug, sock-like fit guaranteed thanks to a bespoke sockliner. Graphic flair comes by way of monochrome Y-3 and Yohji Yamamoto branding that appears on the tongue and heel.
