Pusha T Breaks Down the Lyrics of "If You Know You Know"

Despite being the title track of DAYTONA, Pusha T‘s “If You Know You Know” has taken a back seat to the Drake diss record “Infrared.” But not to say “If You Know You Know” is not popular, as the Kanye West-produced track stands as the most streamed song of the whole album.
Pusha T recently sat down with Genius for the latest episode of Verified to break the lyrics of the hard-hitting title track. Kicking things off the G.O.O.D. Music president notes that the song is the for those really in the streets stating, “if you’re in tune with the life then it’s going to mean the world to you.” According to the Virginia rapper, after hearing his first four bars Kanye decided to strip this down to provide an acapella like platform for the strong lines. Push also reveals that the song really expresses his view as “a person who definitely has made it out,” in hopes of showing the other side of his success.
