Bell & Ross Debuts the Memento Mori-Inspired BR 01 Laughing Skull
Wind it up and watch it laugh.
Earlier this month, Bell & Ross continued to support its vintage lineup with the debut of the collection’s latest GMT. Now, the boutique watchmaker introduces its very first in-house movement and automaton.
Known as the BR 01 Laughing Skull, Bell & Ross’ new offering takes its inspirational cues from the concept of memento mori. To operate the unique item in its intended fashion, owners simply have to wind the watch to get the skull’s mouth to move up and down — mimicking the “laughing skull” this piece takes its name from. Rounding out the one-of-a-kind package: a brown alligator and black rubber strap, “micro-blasted steel” case with “Clou de Paris” design and sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.
You can take a look at Bell & Ross’ BR 01 Laughing Skull above. The item can be yours for $9,900 USD, and is available for purchase at the company’s official website.
Back in March, Bell & Ross unveiled the limited BR V2-94 Racing Bird Chronograph.
