Chris Rock Praises Kanye & Teases Pusha T in His 'ye' Album Listening Event Speech
“Pusha-T in the house. Don’t diss me.”
Kanye West‘s new album ye has arrived but before the official release to all streaming platforms, there was, of course, the big listening event that was held in Wyoming. The occasion brought press, influencers, friends and Kanye collaborators to Jackson Hole to partake in the momentous party that would be capped off with Mr. West playing the seven-track album for everyone in attendance around a campfire. Amongst those invited were artists such as Nas, Ty Dolla, Consequence, Kid Cudi and many more.
However, before the festivities began, Chris Rock got up on the mic to say a few words about the experience and his good friend Kanye West. Rock exclaimed:
Rap music, hip-hop music, is the first art form created by free black men…and no black man has taken more advantage of his freedom than Kanye West.
He also said a few words about Pusha T who was also amongst the crowd. Rock took full advantage of Pusha T’s current spot in the limelight because of his beef with Drake:
“Pusha T in the house! Don’t diss me n**ga, don’t diss me… Pusha T taking bodies!”
Chris Rock then mentions a few more names such as Kid Cudi and Big Sean but eventually ended with Rock declaring that the crowd should listen to the album “without prejudice.” Watch the full speech above.
