Following weeks of teasing via abrupt Twitter storms, Kanye West recently offered us a taste of his highly-anticipated eighth studio album.
Titled ye, the album was unveiled via an exclusive Jackson Hole, Wyoming listening event and features an emotional ‘Ye touching on his recent personal trials and tribulations. An exclusive group of attendees including the likes of Kid Cudi, Chris Rock, Jonah Hill, 2 Chainz, Luka Sabbat, Theophilus London, Lil Yachty and more huddled around Kanye as he premiered his latest project.
Comprised of seven songs, the Chicago artist challenges his fans with yet another new experimental style set utilizing different forms of distortion, beat styles and ad-libs. Assisting ‘Ye with his latest project is a powerhouse cast of features lead by Ty Dolla $ign, Kid Cudi, Nicki Minaj and more. On the album, ‘Ye weighs in on relevant topics like mental health, the #MeToo movement, his wife Kim Kardashian, and drugs to offer his view on the current state of the world.
