YEEZY founder Ye has revealed new pastel iterations of the upcoming YEEZY 800 silhouette. The updated previe, which the artist posted to his Instagram Stories, expands upon the initial all-black edition of the independent runner, introducing a vibrant shift from the brand’s traditional muted earth tones.
The Yeezy 800 leans into a retro running shape, featuring a complex layered construction across the upper. Ballistic mesh forms the tongue, while textured panels reinforce the toe and heel sections. Nubuck-like overlays frame the eyestays and forefoot, complemented by layers of loose, gauze-style mesh that give the upper a raw, unpolished texture that continues onto portions of the midsole.
Marking a return to the numbered naming format used throughout Ye’s classic releases, the model signals a new era of independent production for the brand. Following reports of a retail partnership with JD Sports, the silhouette could become one of the first post-adidas Yeezy footwear releases to receive wider mainstream distribution.
