EVANGELION:95 has released its first Fall/Winter 2026 run of five graphic T-shirts translating landmark Neon Genesis Evangelion imagery into apparel styled to look like it survived from 1995. Each design pairs a specific scene or piece of franchise artwork with the brand’s faux-vintage construction, positioning the T-shirts as statement pieces rather than standard merch.
The construction is consistent across the collection and central to its concept. Every shirt uses a 6.5oz heavyweight 100% cotton body described as smooth to the touch, durable and absorbent. From there, the brand leans into wear that would normally take years to develop, building in body fading and adding intentional distressing at the collar and cuffs. The result is a deliberately aged finish meant to sharpen each graphic, and the damage detailing is baked into the design rather than treated as a flaw.
The graphics themselves span the franchise’s most charged moments. Two T-shirts draw from the film End of Evangelion: the 0097 in white centers on Unit-01’s awakening scene paired with “AWAKENING” text, while the 0099 in black turns to the striking Mass Production Evas, both backed by the brand’s original anti-A.T. Field pattern. Another pair pulls from the fan-favorite ninth TV episode, “Both of You, Dance Like You Want to Win,” staging the clash between Units 01 and 02 and the Angel Israfel across front and back, each sleeve marked with an in-scene countdown time.
The fifth design reaches into franchise music history. The 0103 in black is built around the CD jacket for Yoko Takahashi’s single “Soul’s Refrain,” the theme from the film Death & Rebirth, with the vintage jacket illustration digitized in high resolution and a period poster graphic printed on the back. It lands as the most collector-leaning piece in the group.
All of it flows from the brand’s founding idea. EVANGELION:95 launched in January 2025 to mark the series’ 30th anniversary, building its identity around the 1995 fashion landscape of Amekaji, Harajuku style and vintage grunge. These five T-shirts put that thesis to work, treating Evangelion scenes as the raw material for clothing that reads like a genuine relic of the era.
