New Era and Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn have collaborated on a 9FORTY A-Frame trucker cap, released through STRICT-G in two emblem-specific versions. Both lean on New Era’s classic logo-cap format, swapping in crests tied to the anime’s in-universe organizations.
The foundation is New Era‘s 9FORTY A-Frame, a variant of the shape-retaining 9FORTY built to hold its form. Rather than a rounded multi-panel crown, the A-Frame runs a single front panel with a pinched top, giving the cap a distinctive profile before any branding is added.
Function is handled through familiar trucker-cap cues. A breathable mesh construction keeps the build ventilated, while a curved visor and an adjustable strap are set up to dial in a comfortable, flexible fit.
Branding is where the two versions diverge, and it stays deliberately clean. Each cap carries a single three-dimensional embroidered emblem on the front, pitched as an easy fit for casual styling. One version wears the Anaheim Electronics crest, the other the Vist Foundation crest, letting buyers pick their allegiance while keeping the rest of the design unadorned.
Both versions of the STRICT-G x New Era Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn 9FORTY A-Frame trucker are scheduled to ship in September 2026 via STRICT-G. Pre-orders close August 16.
