Shanghai-based architecture practice Atelier Deshaus recently completed the construction of the new Taizhou Contemporary Art Museum in the Zhejiang province of China.

The concrete institution spans approximately 2,450-square-meters with a total of eight exhibition rooms placed across four floors. The main room, with a barrel vault ceiling, offers guests sweeping views of the surrounding mountain range. Other notable structural features include an external public square and a spiral stairway that leads guests to the exhibition rooms. Artworks alongside interiors of the space such as a cafe and gift shop are awaiting installation. Moreover,  the conversion of nearby factories and warehouse buildings will be added to the primary facility.

Stay tuned for updates and head over to Atelier Deshaus’ official website to learn more. In related stories, check out this newly-renovated countryside hotel also located in China.
