Skepta's Hybrid New Nike Collaboration Gets a Release Date
Not long to go.
After his latest Nike collaboration — a mash up of the Air Max 97 and Air Max Classic BW — was revealed recently, Skepta has now announced the sneaker’s release date. According to an Instagram post from the London-born MC, the collaborative sneakers are set to release at select stockists on May 18.
The sneaker is Skepta’s third Nike collaboration, and fuses together elements from the two silhouettes he has worked on in the past — 2017’s Morocco-inspired Air Max 97 SK and 2016’s Air Max BW Blacklisted. The new shoe features a white Air Max Classic BW upper, which sits atop the sole-unit from an Air Max 97. Contrasting with the white, blue appears on the left Swoosh and air unit, while red takes its place on the right sneaker.
