More Plot Details About 'The Predator' Have Emerged
Premiering later this year.
With a new Predator movie set to hit theaters later this year, a range of plot details about the franchise were revealed when the first trailer from 20th Century Fox was shown at CinemaCon. Titled The Predator and written and directed by Shane Black, the movie is set in between 1990’s Predator 2 and 2010’s Predators and sees the alien creatures incorporate DNA from other species, increasing their strength and intelligence. The movie begins with a young child triggering the predators’ return to Earth.
The clip — which is yet to be released — shows the young child playing with a toy alien ship, while that ship is controlling a real alien spaceship. The spaceship eventually crash lands on Earth and releases the Predators. Other clips included in the trailer show Boyd Holbrook as a military sniper, footage of soldiers battling Predators and Olivia Munn playing a scientist. As it stands, other details are scarce, but expect more news to arrive before the film arrives theaters in September.
