New 'Avengers: Infinity War' Photos and Covers Debut Ahead of Release
Gangs all here.
With Avengers: Infinity War set to hit theaters in just over a month, Entertainment Weekly has just shared some new exclusive behind-the-scenes photos for our viewing pleasure. Along with the BTS look, the publication is also set to release 15 different covers for its upcoming issue.
Marvel and EW debuted the 15 new covers, which feature various characters including Scarlet Witch and Nebula, Thor with an eye patch, Groot and Rocket Raccon, Doctor Strange, Hulk, Star-Lord and Okoye, Vision and Shuri, Black Panther, Thanos with Infinity Gauntlet, Spider-Man, Mantis and Winter Soldier, War Machine and Drax, Iron Man with new wings, Black Widow, Captain America, and Falcon with Gamora. As an added bonus, all 15 covers can combine to form one large Avengers logo.
The issue will also include the exclusive photos, giving fans some clues into what they can expect from the film and an interview with Infinity War‘s screenwriter Stephen McFeely who confirmed that some characters will die in the film. “It’s safe to say we will say farewell to people,” he said to EW. The photos includes Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Bruce Banner, and Wong looking ready for battle, Thanos getting ready to rip a moon out of orbit and haul it at somebody, Shuri looking toward Bruce Banner like he just gave a suggestion of a Wakandan schoolkid, and Spider-Man hanging off a school bus, among others.
As EW notes, Marvel announced at least 10 more films, including Ant-Man and The Wasp, Captain Marvel, and more. But the contracts for Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth (Thor), and Chris Evans (Captain America) expire in 2019. Head over to Entertainment Weekly for more info. Avengers: Infinity War lands in theaters on April 27.
