Marvel Studios has officially unveiled the first look at the concept art for the upcoming blockbuster film, Avengers: Doomsday. Published via Variety, the expansive illustration marks the first formal visual confirmation of Robert Downey Jr.’s villainous return as Victor von Doom, highlighting a massive multiversal assembly.
The comprehensive artwork was shared on social media by Andy Park, Marvel’s former Director of Visual Development, commemorating his final major leadership project with the studio after 16 years of creative direction. Placed directly at the center of the sprawling composition, Doctor Doom towers over the canvas clad in his classic comic-accurate metal face mask and deep green hooded cloak. The illustration confirms a multiversal collision of characters spanning Disney‘s traditional Marvel Cinematic Universe, Earth-828’s Fantastic Four, and the nostalgic Earth-10005 timeline from 20th Century Fox’s legacy film catalog.
The multiversal cast is organized into distinct factions under Doom’s looming presence. Fans are treated to previews of the New Avengers—including a black-shirted Steve Rogers and Thor—standing beside members of the Fantastic Four in their updated blue-and-white suits.
