The Pokémon Center has officially aligned with multi-disciplinary designer Sean Wotherspoon to introduce a specialized Pokémon Center Original plush collection. First reported by Japanese fashion and footwear platform Fullress, the limited-edition character drop channels the Round Two co-founder’s signature vintage design perspective across three iconic pocket monsters.
The lifestyle-focused release relies heavily on Wotherspoon’s signature appreciation for archival Americana and curated thrift store aesthetics. For this collaborative drop, the designer hand-selected specific pre-worn details and sun-faded hues to give the soft collectibles an authentic, worn-in personality. The plush character selection focuses entirely on fan-favorite pocket monsters, delivering individual toys for Bulbasaur, Charizard, and Pikachu.
While the toys mimic classic vintage distressing and aged textile treatments, the construction relies entirely on brand-new materials. Rather than utilizing actual repurposed thrift garments, the manufacturing process implements a custom-engineered vintage graphic print across fresh textiles to simulate a weathered look while preserving high structural durability. Each plush is completed with unique visual touches that highlight the intersection of nostalgia and modern collector culture.
The Pokémon Center x Sean Wotherspoon plush collection drops July 23, 2026, at 10 a.m. JST via a made-to-order preorder window on the official Pokémon Center platform.
