NASA Announces Return to the Moon and Plans for Mars Mission
Heading back to the moon after 60 years.
Alongside its announcement to once again travel to the moon, NASA has unveiled a video to mark the occasion and also inform those of its mission to Mars.
Narrated by Mike Rowe, the actor states “It’s time we take the next great leap. We’re building the next chapter of American exploration, returning to the moon, to stay, so we can go beyond, to Mars.” Following President Trump’s Space Policy Directive-1, the agency has been issued to travel once again to the moon, as well as Mars in the foreseeable future. The announcement was made before Trump declared the sixth military service Space Force. This marks NASA’s first return to the moon in almost 50 years.
The footage above showcases images of various rockets, space stations, and the diverse employees that make up the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
