Facebook Adds Music Features to Photos and Videos
They plan to allow users to add music to their profile.
Following the announcement of Soundcloud integrating with Instagram Stories, Facebook has now announced the ability to add songs to Stories and News Feed posts. The feature can be accessed by taking a photo/video with the Facebook camera (or uploading one), tapping on a sticker icon, and choosing the music sticker.
From there, a list of songs will be displayed for you to choose and select what part of the track you want to use. The photo/video will then show up on your account with a sticker that shows the song’s name and artist. Users will be able to adjust which section of the song they want if they made a mistake, as well as add additional effects to personalize your picture or visuals.
Pages will also acquire the Lip Sync Live feature, which will allow artists to perform live for fans on the platform with lyrics alongside them. It also appears Facebook will soon allow users to add music to their profile, ala MySpace, which can be pinned at the top of your page so friends see it immediately upon visiting. If it’s clicked, however, the accompanying song’s music video will appear behind it.
