In just 10 months of its initial launch, the Nintendo Switch has broken the United States record for the fastest selling console of all-time. It has been reported that Nintendo moved 4.8 million units of its portable home gaming system.

The Switch arrived on March 3, 2017, and has since dropped acclaimed titles such as Super Mario Odyssey, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, of which won numerous Game of the Year awards. “Now that many more people have received Nintendo Switch systems for the holidays, we look forward to bringing them fun new surprises in 2018 and beyond,” said Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime.

Did you get a chance to purchase a Nintendo Switch during the holiday? If not, the company expects to roll out 30 million units this year.
