Following a series of previews, Jordan Brand has officially unveiled its innovative Air Jordan 1 Retro Hi Flyknit model. The forthcoming drop places a contemporary twist on the classic model that dates back to 1985. For its latest incarnation, the AJ1 stays true to its original aesthetic but incorporates Nike’s popular Flyknit technology which was debuted back in 2012.

You’ll find nods to its OG predecessor via its Nike Air branding, Wings logo on each lateral side, and premium leather on its inner lining. For its finishing touches, the number “19852017” is placed on the inner collar as a homage to the old and respect for the new.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro Hi Flyknit is slated for a launch on September 9 via nike.com and select Jordan Brand retailers in the classic “Bred” color scheme.
