'Call of Duty: WWII' Returns to Its Grounded Roots in New Multiplayer Reveal Trailer
No more boosting, double jumping, accelerated slides, etc. — just classic run and gun.
During Sony‘s E3 press conference, a new trailer debuted for the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII, which showcased a few maps from the game’s multiplayer.
The locations shown in the trailer include Normandy in France, the Ardennes Forrest in Belgium, and Aachen, Germany. The trailer features a return to form for Call of Duty, straying away from the futuristic approach of Infinite Warfare, and returning to the grounded, World War setting the franchise is known for; the boosts, thrusts and abilities introduced in Advanced Warfare won’t be available, returning gameplay to a more basic “boots on the ground” playstyle.
The new Divisions feature will replace the create-a-class setup seen in recent CoD multiplayer modes, giving players the chance to choose from five divisions, each with their own specialized training and weapons skills.
Call of Duty: WWII will be available November 3, 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One X, Xbox One and PC.
