Nike meticulously remastered the original Air Max 1s in honor of this year’s Air Max Day — not to mention the Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette’s own 30th anniversary — and soon you’ll be able to get your hands on a couple of the best AM1s of all-time. Both the “Sport Red” and “Sport Royal” look are set to make a comeback this March and each is a near perfect one-for-one remake of 1987’s original. Whether it’s the sleek toe box, the breathable mesh paneling, the texture of the air-cushioned midsole, or the light grey contrasts, these are an apt homage to the beginning of the Air Max legacy.

Expect the “Sport Red” colorway to make a comeback on March 4 while the “Sport Royal” pair will follow on March 11. Both are set to retail for $140 USD at select NSW spots and Nike SNKRS.
