These Crystal Palace FC Fans Accidentally Vandalized Their Own Team Bus
They thought it was the away team’s vehicle.
Crystal Palace FC are embroiled in a Premier League relegation battle of late and the team’s fans took out their frustration on what they thought was the Middlesborough’s team bus before the game on Saturday. Unfortunately, although Crystal Palace won the game 1-0, they managed to vandalise their own team’s vehicle, leaving assistant head groundsman Dean Waters to tweet out “£40,000 worth of damage on our coach thinking it was the Boro coach. Nice one! #cpfc” alongside images of the bus. The club’s spokesman confirmed that the incident had happened, sending out a statement saying “The team bus was covered in graffiti with the words ‘Crystal Palace’ overnight on Friday ahead of the game on Saturday. Police have been informed.”
