Starter’s signature Award varsity jacket is undoubtedly one of the most iconic pieces of sportswear out there, so when Big-O and Yuichi Yoshii were looking to inject some sporting flair into their Fall/Winter 2016 collection for MR.GENTLEMAN, the duo looked no further than the timeless classic. Here, the jacket’s prototypical nylon construction and striped ribbing at the collar, hem and cuffs remains intact while Big-O — who recently stepped down from PHENOMENON — and Yoshii — of THE CONTEMPORARY FIX fame — have eschewed co-branding elements entirely. Instead, the jackets come in clean navy and olive colorways and brown accents to match the duo’s upcoming seasonal range.

Fans can big up this Starter Black Label release from select stockists starting this Saturday, August 20, for ¥8,000 JPY (approximately $80 USD).
