Nike Basketball Goes for First Place With "Gold Swoosh" Trio
Can Team USA bring home the gold?

Nike Basketball’s finest athletes are representing the USA out in Rio during this year’s Olympics and it’s only right that the Swoosh celebrate their journey toward a gold medal. Consisting of the KD 9, Kyrie 2 and, oddly enough, the LeBron Soldier 10 (King James isn’t playing in these Olympic Games), this trio of elite footwear will be a Quickstrike release that displays some thematic upgrades to coincide with an Olympic vibe.
The Kyrie 2 is covered with a “University Red” upper that also sports a translucent outsole. Gold can be found on its lateral Swoosh and additional gold detailing appears on the tongue and heel branding.
Donning the KD 9’s upper is obsidian-colored Flyknit that rests atop of an icy outsole for a flashy touch. In addition, you’ll also find a gold Swoosh on its lateral and medial sides, gold USA branding on its heel tab, and red within its sockliner for a finishing touch.
Despite LeBron James not participating in the Olympic games, the LeBron Soldier 10 makes its way into the trio in an all-white edition with gold speckling along its three straps. Similar to the Zoom KD 9 and Kyrie 2, this silhouette also hosts a clean translucent bottom with gold Swoosh branding.
The KD 9, Kyrie 2 and Soldier 10 will retail for $150, $120 and $140 USD respectively as followers can expect them to officially release on August 22.
