mita sneakers & Reebok Pay Homage to the Tennis Rackets of Old
The Phase 1 Pro gets a woodgrain makeover.
mita sneakers has long been one of the go-to collaborators when it comes to footwear, teaming up with the likes of ASICS, New Balance, Le Coq Sportif and BEAMS in the past few months alone. Now mita has linked up with yet another collaborative partner: Reebok. Inspired by the tennis rackets of old, the two’s upcoming take on 1984’s Phase 1 Pro adopts a woodgrain finished throughout the likes of the heel, quarter panels, eyestay and branding stripes. The motif also extends to the co-branded tongue badge while grey suede covers the toe and mudguard. Finally, white contrasts take care of the laces and midsole as a gum rubber outsole caps things off — of, and don’t forget mita’s signature chainlink pattern on the insoles.
Retailing for $120 USD, the wood-like Phase 1 Pro is set to hit spots in the Reebok Certified Network come this Saturday, June 25.
