mita sneakers Gives Le Coq Sportif's R900 a Black & Blue Makeover
Shigeyuki Kunii takes on the French silhouette.

After tapping HECTIC co-founders Naotake Magara (now at A-1 Clothing) and Yoshifumi Egawa (aka Hombre Niño’s YOPPI) for a 20th anniversary take on New Balance’s 580, Shigeyuki Kunii is back at it — this time teaming up with Le Coq Sportif for a mita treatment. Coming in the form of the R900, the French/Japanese collab comes decked out in a clean combination of navy suede and matching nylon, coupling the construction with black lining, a contrasting white midsole and black rubber outsole. As you might expect, mita’s signature chainlink fence decorates the footbeds with a custom graphic application.
Retailing for ¥13,500 JPY (approximately $124 USD), the special edition Le Coq Sportif R900 will soon be available exclusively from mita sneakers SWITCH STANCE.
