Sneakers76 Collabs With Le Coq Sportif on a Sneaker Channelling the History of Southern Italy
The LCS R1000 “Guardian of the Sea” features colors inspired by a lighthouse on the water.
Referencing the history of Taranto in Southern Italy, Sneakers76 and Le Coq Sportif have collaborated on a special edition of the LCS R1000 for the store’s 10th anniversary. Arriving in a primarily sand-colored nubuck paired with hits of stone and blue-green, the “Guardian of the Sea” sneaker takes its cues from the lighthouse at Capo San Vito. While the primary construction of the shoe is meant to channel the lighthouse set against the backdrop of the ocean, wood accents together with cognac leather details take the history one step further, having been inspired by the monastery formerly located on the same grounds. The running silhouette is completed with a silver Le Coq Sportif logo, and the release is delivered in a limited and customized box — complete with extra laces and a shoe bag.
Look out for an exclusive Sneakers76 launch in-store on November 12 at 7 p.m. CET for $155 USD and then online that same night at 11 p.m.
