As part of new profile series, ABC’s Night has been documenting Lil’ Wayne around the world over the past 3 years. Last night, parts of the segment officially aired where ABC’s Linsey Davis interviewed the Young Money general on a wide range topics including his memoir, his time in Rikers Island, and the Black Lives Matter movement. That’s when the conversation took a strange turn:

“What is it? What do you mean?,” says a confused Lil’ Wayne when asked about Black Lives Matter. “That just sounds weird, I don’t know that you put a name on. It’s not a name…It’s not ‘whatever, whatever.’ It’s somebody got shot by police for a f***ed up reason.”

Wayne continues on saying, “I am a young black rich motherf***er, if that don’t let you know that America understand black motherf***ers matters these days I don’t know what it is. That man white, he filming me I’m a ni**a. I don’t know what you don’t come to me with that dumb sh*t ma’am. My life matters, especially to my bi**hes.”

“I don’t feel connected to a damn thing that ain’t got nothin’ to do with me. I’m connected to this motherf***ing flag right here,” says Wayne while pulling out a red bandana. After stating that he’s a gang banger, an angry Lil’ Wayne got up and ended the interview abruptly.
