Sneakers76 Brings Greek Mythology to the adidas Originals EQT Guidance '93
The Italian sneaker spot takes cues from the son of Poseidon.

According to Greek mythology, the southern Italian city of Taranto was founded by Taras, the son of Poseidon, when he was shipwrecked off the coast before being rescued by a dolphin. So when it came time for Taranto-based Sneakers76 to celebrate its 10-year anniversary, the sneaker spot looked no further than Taras himself. The result? A special take on the EQT Guidance ‘93 alongside adidas Originals.
Just the latest collaborative endeavor to tap the silhouette, the new EQT release follows the likes of Pusha T’s “Black Market” design and the newer Primeknit-constructed versions of the early ’90s classic. Marked by a sea-inspired combination of Clear Granite/Light Onyx/Mineral Green, the design echoes both Taranto’s natural harbor and the city’s iconic swing bridge, Ponte Girevole, as it couples shades of grey and brown with bold aquatic green hues and premium suede construction throughout.
Look for the collab to drop in-store come September 17 while any remaining pairs will be made available online shortly thereafter.
