Nike Drops a Colorful New Version of the Zoom Mercurial Flyknit
The football boot-meets-Zoom Spiridon hybrid gets a colorful new look.
Since its debut back in March, Nike’s Mercurial-meets-Zoom Spiridon hybrid has stuck with clean and simple colorways, opting for black, white, red and blue looks, perhaps as a purposeful juxtaposition to the bold look of the silhouette itself. That’s all going by the wayside though with the latest version of the shoe as the Swoosh has opted to asymmetrically apply a trio of hues to the high-top for its upcoming release. Here, the kicks don a new two-toned motif — mostly black on the lateral side, yellow for the medial side — and pair the Flyknit look with a deep purple collar as a black external heel counter wraps up the upper. Finally, an all-black version of the Zoom Spiridon’s sole unit provides the cushioning and traction below.
Fans can find this off-pitch nod to the latest Mercurial now at Swoosh spots like Berlin’s Overkill.
