Cristiano Ronaldo Just Signed a Lifetime Deal With Nike That May Be Worth Over $1 Billion USD
CR7 follows in King James’s footsteps.
Just one day after inking an extension with Real Madrid through 2021, footballing star Cristiano Ronaldo has re-upped with Nike — forever. According to CR7 himself, the 31-year-old’s deal with the Swoosh is “for life” while the announcement comes hot on the heels of the unveiling of his latest boots — a nod to the Nikes he laced up for Sporting Lisbon in an August 6, 2003 friendly against Manchester United that ultimately paved the way for his move to the Red Devils.
So what exactly is Ronaldo’s lifetime deal worth? Though exact financials haven’t been disclosed, TMZ reports that the deal is “very similar” to the one LeBron James inked with the Swoosh back in December of last year — and that one is supposedly worth upwards of $1 billion USD and pays King James north of $30 million USD annually.
