New Balance has given the 990v6 a minty fresh makeover through its Teddy Santis-helmed MADE in USA arm. Dubbed the “Avocado/Natural Mint,” the new colorway offers a crisp and cool mixture of green shades, all accented by the signature neutral detailing that fans of Santis’ work on the line have come to expect.

“Avocado” is a rich, almost forest green shade that’s applied across the mesh toebox, midfoot, and collar. “Natural Mint,” on the other hand, is a much lighter green hue that can be seen primarily across the suede midfoot and heel overlays. There’s a third green shade here as well, a more medium tone that provides accents on the mudguard, eyestays and heel. Other accents on the layered upper are provided by slate grey and greenish-grey shades, while white tongues and signature two-tone FuelCell midsoles combined with slate grey outsoles round off the look. Though it’s not identical, the mixture of verdant shades on the “Avocado/Natural Mint” calls to mind past New Balance collaborations like the Patta x New Balance 990v3 and the mita sneakers x Sneakerwolf x New Balance 990v4.

A release date for the New Balance 990v6 MADE in USA “Avocado/Natural Mint” has yet to be announced, but it’ll likely touch down later in the year as part of the MADE in USA line’s slate of seasonal drops. When it does, it’ll be priced at $200 USD.
