We’re just over three months into Jordan Brand’s special celebration of the Air Jordan 1’s 40th anniversary and excitement is continuing to brew. Not only have major drops like the Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Varsity Red” and Air Jordan 1 Hi ‘85 “Bred” already taken place, there’s everything from a Union LA x fragment design x Air Jordan 1 High OG to the return of the “Shattered Backboard” colorway on the way as well.

Adding to the ever-expanding list of releases to keep an eye out for, a new rumor report from SneakerMarketRO indicates that a “Cool Grey” version of the Air Jordan 1 High OG is coming soon. Unlike the previously mentioned pairs, this version of the sneaker is due to drop next year, continuing to build atop the momentum built throughout 2025. While we remain without a physical preview of the pair, the speculative mock-up pictured above offers an idea of what it could look like as it is said to combine grey, black, off-white, blue, and white.

At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has not yet confirmed that a “Cool Grey” version of the Air Jordan 1 High OG will be dropping next year.
