Yung Lean Announces New Album 'Jonatan'
Due out this spring.

Yung Lean has officially lifted the veil on his next move; he took to Instagram to share that his next project is due out later this year. Entitled Jonatan – named after the musician’s birth name Jonatan Aron Leandoer Håstad – the project is officially due out everywhere later this year.
The rapper kept it short in his Instagram post, which arrived as the first post on his feed a little before noon EST on Tuesday, January 21. Lean shared the below cover art – directed by Drain Gang’s Ecco2k – which features a portrait of him in the middle.
“Jonatan the album. This spring. Art dir: @aloegarten,” he wrote in the below caption. He also announced a new show going down in Stockholm on March 1, at Avicii Arena.

Jonatan will mark Lean’s fifth studio album, arriving about a year after the rapper’s last studio project, Psykos with Bladee; it also signals the rapper’s first solo studio LP since his release of Stardust in 2022. This year, Lean also showed out on Charli XCX‘s “360” remix with Robyn, and also dropped off “Shadowboxing.”
While a locked-down release date has yet to be confirmed on Jonatan, stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates.
