Nike Basketball is rapidly increasing its output of Kobe 9 Elite Protro releases as new and returning colorways are being readied to release later this year. The silhouette returned in high and low form last year by participating in the brand’s annual “Halo” series — one that is poised to reintroduce the Kobe 3 Protro later this year — and went on to see the original Kobe 9 Elite Protro “Christmas” make a return at the end of 2024.
Adding to the list of Kobe 9 Protros to look forward to, a new report from zSneakerHeadz and Sneaker Files indicates that the Kobe 9 EM Low Protro “China” will be returning to shelves later this year. While we lack any visuals of the pair, it is likely to feature the same red, gold and black color scheme from 2014 with a special thematic graphic covering the tongue.
At the time of writing, the Nike Basketball team has not yet confirmed that the “China” colorway of the Kobe 9 EM Low Protro will be dropping again. Stay tuned for updates, including a first look at the rumored pair, as we currently expect it to be on shelves once again during the holiday season via Nike SNKRS and select retailers worldwide.
