Update: The Nike Kobe “Halo” series returns this week as the high-top version of the Kobe 9 Elite Protro dons the all-white theme this week in celebration of Kobe Day. However, there’s more to come as the low-top take on the model is also set to drop in a “Halo” look that we first spotted a few weeks back. With official imagery of the kicks having been shared, it’s nearly time for it to drop as its release date of September 19 remains set with the shoe arriving via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $210 USD.
Original Story: As Nike Basketball continues to reintroduce the Kobe line, the Kobe 4, 6 and 8 Protro have been the focus thus far. However, it’s nearly time for the Kobe 9 Elite Protro to take center stage as it’s set to be the subject of this year’s all-white “Halo” colorways, following 2023’s Kobe 8 Protro release.
After a Nike Kobe 9 Elite Protro “Halo” popped up last month, we now have an early preview of a low-top version of the shoe as well. Crafted in a white colorway that features iridescent detailing at the Swooshes located at the midfoot, this “Halo” rendition similarly sports black at both sides of the extended midsole.
At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not announced its plans for the Kobe 9 Elite Protro “Halo” in its high and low-top forms. Stay tuned for updates, including official imagery of both pairs, as we currently expect this low-top iteration of the shoe to land on shelves on September 19, following the release of the high-top that is taking place in just a few weeks, at a price of $210 USD via Nike SNKRS and select retailers.
