Update: Drake’s “Eggplant” colorway of the NOCTA x Nike Hot Step 2 leaked earlier this year and has now been officially unveiled ahead of its upcoming launch. The purple pair sports an iridescent finish across its upper while sporting a hint of “University Gold” at its outsole, resulting in an LSU Tigers-esque purple and gold combination. A baby blue sockliner with metallic NOCTA branding rounds out the release as it remains expected to drop this fall via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $200 USD.

Original Story: In the aftermath of the Kendrick Lamar beef, it’s been rather quiet for Drake’s collaborative NOCTA line with Nike. While he has another Air Force 1 Low rumored to release next year in “White/Colbalt Tint,” we now have a first look at an “Eggplant”-colored take on the Hot Step 2. Having debuted on shelves earlier this year, the Hot Step 2 is the latest sneaker from his NOCTA project.

Our brief preview of this “Eggplant” colorway sees the sneaker don yet another monochromatic makeover. This time around, purple shimmers across the sneaker, emphasizing its upper’s unique texture and mixed material composition. NOCTA co-branding arrives at the tongue and will likely be visible at the sockliner as well.

At the time of writing, neither Drake nor Nike have discussed when this “Eggplant” iteration of NOCTA’s Hot Step 2 will be arriving on shelves.
