LOEWE Announces 2025 "Crafted World" Tokyo Exhibition
“Our first major brand exhibition, a celebration of the house’s rich history, Spanish heritage, and commitment to the handmade.”
Following up on its successful debut last Spring in Shanghai, LOEWE has announced that it will bring its first major brand exhibition “Crafted World” to Tokyo in Spring 2025.
Spanning 179 years of brand history, the showcase will give Tokyo visitors a first look at original pieces from the LOEWE archive and recent collections designed by Jonathan Anderson. The exhibit will also shed light on the brand’s story, heritage, and expansive universe of collaborators.
In a statement shared with WWD, LOEWE said “The exhibition transports the audience from the sights and sounds of Spain to the front row of the Paris runway, and, in a series of interactive rooms, inside the visionary imaginations that have inspired Loewe’s recent collections — including those of Studio Ghibli and the Kyoto-based ceramics studio Suna Fujita.”

With runway footage and behind-the-scenes insights, LOEWE uncovers the meticulous processes and artisanal craftsmanship behind its collections. Highlights are shown in the preview imagery, including a bespoke trompe l’oeil body suit worn by Beyoncé at the Renaissance World Tour and actress Tayor Russell‘s wooden bodice gown worn at the 2024 Met Gala.
For years, LOEWE has increased its presence in the Asia-Pacific region opening new stores across the continent from South Korea to the Philippines and other emerging markets. In addition to setting up shop on Asian high streets, the luxury brand has also stepped up its marketing strategy by collaborating with Japanese names like Studio Ghibli, introducing Chinese stars like Wang Yibo as ambassadors, and presenting at Frieze Seoul‘s art festival.
Opening from March 29 to May 11 the Tokyo showcase is free to the public upon reservation.
