A24 and Dior unveil a two-year partnership via the A24-backed Cherry Lane Theatre in New York

The collaboration spans fashion, film, and theater through on-screen and in-person programming, kicking off with a one-night "Both Ends" play

Are A24 and Dior the next creative power couple? A new two-year partnership indicates so. The French fashion house and entertainment label just announced they’re coming together for an experiential program in New York, and it’s all going down at the A24-backed Cherry Lane Theatre.

News about the partnership arrived via a meta, Aidan Zamiri-directed short film directed, where Sabrina Carpenter, Josh O’Connor, Drew Starkey, Camille Cottin and Sophie Wilde audition to play, none other than, Jonathan Anderson. Vying for the role of the Dior creative director, each give their best impression – checkered shirt, jeans, hands-in-pockets, and all.

Since its revival last fall, the historic Off-Broadway venue has kept a busy slate of shows and a packed house. Gen Z, after all, is the group driving cinema sales in the U.S., and young people are looking for communion in live cultural spaces. With Dior signing on as Cherry Lane Theatre’s main partner for the next few, the upcoming program, which spans fashion, film, and theater, aims to do just that, connecting audiences to established and emerging artists through live experiences, be it on-screen or onstage, while cultivating a wider creative community.

The partnership, according to Anderson, also hopes to close the distance between fashion and its fans through more intimate encounters and experiences. “It is about selling the idea that a brand is real,” he told The Financial Times. He described how entry into the “public imagination of the moment,” goes well beyond the expected seasonal red carpet looks and cinematic bag cameos. “Through A24, we are both working on a way in which we can try to get into the cultural zeitgeist. Is it in theatre? Is it in the blockbuster? We won’t know that until we go into a lab process and try to work out what’s next.”

The collaboration will be unveiled at Cherry Lane Theatre with “Both Ends,” a one-night-only production celebrating the first anniversary of A24’s reopening. Inspired by poet, playwright, and Cherry Lane co-founder, Edna St. Vincent Millay, the production was written by Justin Vivian Bond, and produced and directed by Zack Winokur. Anderson is also on as costume designer, bringing an archival garment by Paul Poiret for Bond, who stars in “Both Ends.” The French designer was an inspiration for both Millay and Anderson in this Autumn/Winter 2026 collection.

“This is the start of an exciting partnership built around artists and storytelling,” wrote Anderson in the announcement video. “Putting two creatively driven worlds side by side – you start to see what they pull out of each other that neither could’ve found alone. That’s where the interesting stuff happens.”
